Rev. Ian M. Dent

Co-Pastor - Elder

How He Serves

As the Pastor of Administration, Pastor Ian oversees the day to day operations of the church. He is responsible for our church documents as well as policies and procedures to keep us operating smoothly and within the confines of the law. He oversees the Finance Team to ensure 3RC is fiscally responsible enabling real ministry to take place. Pastor Ian also oversees the counseling ministry as well as the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of our facilities.

Family

Pastor Ian met Kari while attending Winthrop College (now University) in Rock Hill, SC. They were married on May 17, 1986 (Kari’s birthday) in Orangeburg, SC and have lived, courtesy of the Navy, in Washington, Alabama, and Connecticut before moving to Georgia in 1994 to be stationed at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay. Ian and Kari live in St. Marys and have two grown children and an awesome granddaughter.

Other Interests

Ian was raised in Des Plaines, IL just outside of Chicago and is a life-long Chicago sports fan. He enjoys cycling, riding his motorcycle, woodworking, hanging out by the pool, fixing things, and shooting. He is an avid collector of challenge coins.

Experience

Pastor Ian served honorably in the U.S. Navy’s submarine community for 23 years and retired as a Master Chief Machinist’s Mate in September 2006. He was ordained in 1999 while in the Navy and was actively involved in lay ministry. He entered full time vocational ministry after his retirement from the Navy. He served as a church planter and solo pastor for nearly a decade before joining with Pastor Zane and Pastor Mark to plant  3RC.

In addition to the nuclear training pipeline, Ian completed  numerous technical and leadership schools while in the Navy. He  has degrees in General Studies, Pastoral Studies, Liberal Arts, and Pastoral Leadership. He is also a trained biblical counselor with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors and is a certified English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher. He is the Supervising Chaplain and the Uniform Patrol Commander for the St. Marys Police Department, and serves as a Chaplain with the Southeast Georgia Health System. He also serves on the City of St. Marys Ethics Board.

Rev. Zane N. Owens

How He Serves

As the Pastor for Missions, Outreach, and Evangelism, Zane leads our faith family to be active in local, national, and global missions and leads us to be intentionally evangelistic in our day to day lives. Zane’s greatest passion in ministry is disciple-making; simply following the biblical model of sharing the faith, teaching the Word of God, and mentoring others. Because of this passion, Zane has a driving desire to fulfill the Great Commission by making disciples of all nations. Pastor Zane says that he has the best job in the world because he gets paid to tell people about Jesus! Pastor Zane also serves as our Pastor to Students

Family

After dating for seven years, Zane married his high school sweetheart Sabrina May 13, 2000. They have two children: Elissa (2009) and Jude (2013.).


Other Interests

Zane enjoys spending time with his family, camping, off-roading, hanging out at the beach and pretty much everything that has to do with the ocean. He is a lifelong musician and enjoys playing the bass, piano, and singing. Zane is also an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan. 

Experience

Zane was one of the best air conditioning technicians in the area prior to surrendering to vocational ministry. Rev. Mark D. Lang

Associate Pastor of Education - Elder

How He Serves

As Pastor of Education, Mark oversees Sunday School, Children's Church, and Community Groups. He ensures class structure meets the needs of our growing church and that the curriculum in use is biblical and follows the doctrine of our church.

Family

Mark married his high school sweetheart, Marcia Reynolds in 1994. They have two children, Savannah Leigh (2001) and Camden Mark (2003).

Other Interests

Mark is an avid sports fan. He has loved the New Orleans Saints since he was a little guy and also loves the Rebels of Ole Miss.  Mark can also be found on the golf course in his spare time.

Experience

Mark was ordained in March of 2011 and served as a co-pastor for several years before joining the team at 3RC. The U.S. Navy brought Mark to our area and after serving honorably, Mark became a biology  teacher in our school system where he served for nearly 20 years in  our community. He currently serves  as the  Principal of Crooked River Elementary School in St. Marys. His passion is teaching the Word of God and sincerely wants to help people write the Word on the tablet of their hearts. Pastor Mark has degrees in Middle School Education, Leadership, and Educational Leadership.
